Playing the Game

Each hero has their own stats and levels, right?
Do I need to max them all to beat the game?
Do the facilities level up as well?

You don't need to level up every single hero.
You're free to play with as many or as few as you please.
However, you'll receive special buffs by swapping between heroes with the crystals you'll find while exploring the Abyss. So I'd recommend planning your strategy around at least two or three heroes.
Facilities gain levels differently from how you gain levels in combat.
Your facilities will level up the more you use them. The higher the level, the greater your production output and efficiency. So life at Base Camp will become easier and easier over time!

Do the heroes have names?
If they do, can they be changed?

They do not have names.
This world without language has no concept of or need for a naming system.
For the sake of clarity, each hero is named after their occupation.

Is there any multiplayer or online play?

No, this game is completely single-player.
But we may certainly consider multiplayer and online play if we ever get around to making a sequel!

Did I spot a Wooly from Rune Factory in the Abyss?

Silent Hope is a sort of fable told in the same world as Rune Factory.
Since it has the same kind of setting, it also shares similar themes, such as runes that bring balance to the world, as well as familiar creatures, crops, and recipes. That's why our fluffy friend makes an appearance!
Still, this is a stand-alone story, so even players who have never played Rune Factory can dive right in!
Likewise, while Rune Factory is a fantasy life simulation game, Silent Hope is an action RPG.
If you want romance and farming elements, you should play the original Rune Factory series. In contrast, this title focuses on delivering fluid combat as you master each hero's skillset!

Why are there Story of Seasons cows at Base Camp?

As many fans have noticed, cows and chickens from the Story of Seasons series make a guest appearance in Silent Hope.
We originally planned on using unique creature designs, but since Rune Factory has its origins in Story of Seasons, it only made sense to include those trademark cows, as well.
We went back and forth on the topic but ultimately decided that monsters like Woolies would inhabit the Abyss, and animals like those cows and chickens would live at Base Camp—with the Princess there to protect them, of course.
To think that somewhere in this world, a farmer is out there raising similar cows and chickens... An exciting thought, no?
